Love the pix, especially the ones with you and Julie...you look so relaxed and happy. A sweet day. And, Anne Roundy, I remember another sweet day in the 70s when the Lammerts hosted a sugaring off party where we did the hard work of eating maple syrup over shaved ice with a side of pickles!
Piet, our paths crossed years ago when we were both high school counselors looking to shift focus to administration. I remember that you made the smart move back to the counseling office.
Fast forward, your Aunt and Uncle, Wendy, David Roundy, and I are friends, sharing our church and PD.
I am delighted by your descriptions of life with Parkinson’s, tempering the pain with humor. I am so happy that DBS is providing both relief and opportunity and suspect that many of us will be watching and cheering you on. Be well and please continue to share. Joel Austin
Thanks for connecting the dots. I have no plans to stop. We’ve finally made it to the hopeful part of the story. My goal now is to chronicle the post DBS phase to give hope to others that there is new life after DBS. None of us chose this club we’re in, and it’s hard. But there is new life on the other side of DBS. Be well, Piet
